Back in 2003 when the MCG was going under its redevelopment, Pete Williams stumbled across all the old and historic MCC Crested Carpet, that was lying in the warehouse of the wrecking company in charge of the G's demolition. After getting over the initial shock that no-one was trying to preserve this piece of Australian Sporting History he took all that history and created a limited series of sports memorabilia pieces.

These collectable pieces included a piece of the MCG itself, the Melbourne Cricket Club Crested Carpet, a photo of the MCGG and a plaque outlining the amazing history of the MCG as well...

Recently, Pete has tried to "team up" with some of Australia's leading sports memorabilia companies, the ones you used to see advertising on the cricket during the summer or in local shopping malls, but was never able to put a deal together. The reason - the margins these sports memorabilia companies are accustomed, from selling their memorabilia pieces at such a high price astounded Pete, as he has always kept the prices of the MCG memorabilia pieces low so that everyone has a chance to own a piece of the Peoples Ground.

So after numerous failed attempts, Pete has decided to do it all himself again, and release the final series of MCC crested carpet frames.
